I fell in love with Japan during my visit in June 2001.  The country is absolutely breath-taking in every way imaginable.  The people are welcoming and kind.  Culture and history can be found in abundance at every turn.  New and old coexist effortlessly.  What's not to like?  Well, at times, the food, but for the most part, even that was fantastic. 

I have been wanting to return, but thus far, life has gotten in the way.  But no more!  My husband, Donald, has always wanted to visit Japan, so we've decided to make the trip a reality.  Our 10 year wedding anniversary is only 2 short years away and we're planning to spend it taking in all Japan has to offer.

Japan may not be your run of the mill vacation destination, but it is definitely in the top 10 places you need to visit in your lifetime.  So as I scope out attractions for my own itinerary, I'll be sharing my findings with all of you.  I hope I can spark an interest in visiting the country or, at a minimum, share some interesting information.
